Video shows huge spoiler for Game of Thrones season 7

Those photographers stalking the Game of Thrones set with telescopic lenses got the biggest scoop since ‘Jon Snow upright and very much alive’ over the weekend.

*Spoilers ahead; it is known*

King in the North Jon Snow and Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen were spotted holding a meeting on the coast of Gaztelugatxe in Spain’s Basque Country - the first time the pair, arguably Westeros’ two most powerful and respected people, have met in the show.

We now have footage of the encounter, with Jon walking down stone steps to speak with Dany, who is staring out at the horizon (as she is 90% of the time in Game of Thrones).

I’d be surprised if this was their first meeting; it isn’t a given that they’d immediately be friendly, so the first meet would probably be a seated affair involving aides and guards.

Rather, this scene looks like a second or third trading of words or round of negotiations, and Dany appears to be deep in thought about something or other. Perhaps she is trying to decide whether to march on King’s Landing or join Jon in fighting the White Walkers? Perhaps she is just mulling over the ethics of banging her cousin?

There is also reports of Carice van Houten being spotted on set, which would be surprising given Melisandre was exiled at the end of the last season, and they mostly stem from the actor wearing a red cloak, which is far from confirmation and I wouldn’t be surprised if HBO put someone in Melisandre-esque garb just to mess with us.

The Jon-Daenerys news builds on spoilers from the previous week that saw their aides, Ser Davos and Tyrion Lannister meet on a shore joined by a returning character not seen since season 3.

Game of Thrones season 7 will consist of seven episodes and arrive on HBO and Sky Atlantic in summer 2017.
