Presenter Graham Norton has set a new world record with his BBC chat show marathon - and raised more than £1 million for charity.

The TV host fronted a six-hour show on BBC3 last night in which he quizzed a continuing roll call of guests for Comic Relief.

Norton set a new Guinness world record by asking 175 questions, the most ever asked during a TV chat show.

The programme has so far raised £1,022,982, with money still continuing to come in this morning. The audience peaked at 1.2 million during the show.

Highlights of the programme will be screened on BBC1 at 10.35pm tonight.
