Hugh Hefner dead: The Playboy founders 5 best cameos, from The Simpsons to Sex and the City
The TV regular died aged 91
Over the years, Hugh Hefner produced dozens of Playboy-themed films — over 200 according to the late icon’s IMDB page.
Hefner was also well known for cameoing in various TV shows, ranging from Entourage to Sex and the City. Following Hefner’s death at the age of 91, we’ve rounded up five of his best.
The Simpsons
Back in 1993, Hefner voiced himself on The Simpsons, giving Bart a tour of the Shelbyville Playboy pa. The episode ‘Krusty Gets Kancelled’ also featured the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Carson, and Bette Midler.
Sex and the City
Hefner appeared in an episode of Sex and the City, taking Samantha into the Playboy Mansion and then evicting the character.
Entourage
By 2005, Hefner was making regular appearances as himself on TV. Fittingly, the often controversial Playboy founder appeared on the testosterone-filled comedy-drama Entourage.
Curb Your Enthusiasm
That same year, Hefner made a fleeting appearance alongside Larry David during Curb Your Enthusiasm’s fifth season.
Family Guy
Having already appeared in The Simpsons, Hefner once again voiced himself in an animated show: Family Guy. Of course, the show already had one prolific womaniser — Quagmire — and it only seemed right the two would meet.

Hefner, the American icon who in 1953 introduced the world to Playboy magazine and built the company into one of the most recognisable American global brands in history, peacefully passed away today from natural causes at his home, The Playboy Mansion, surrounded by loved ones. He was 91 years old.”
