The FBI searched YouTuber Jake Paul’s home in Calabasas on Wednesday morning.

An FBI representative confirmed to The Independent that the search took place at Paul’s residence in the upscale California city.

The search is connected with an ongoing investigation, the representative said, adding that the warrant is sealed.

Additional information wasn’t immediately available.

The Independent has contacted Paul’s representatives for comment.

This isn’t the first time Paul has had a run-in with law enforcement.

In June, police in Scottsdale, Arizona, announced that the YouTuber would face misdemeanour charges for allegedly participating in a riot.

Paul has insisted he didn’t engage in any criminal activity and was instead trying to find a protest against the death of George Floyd.

Calabasas Mayor Alicia Weintraub recently criticised Paul for throwing what she described as a “large party” with ”no social distancing” and “no masks” despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s just a big huge disregard for everything that everybody is trying to do to get things back to functioning,” Weintraub told Fox11 last month.

“It’s really just a party acting like Covid does not exist, it’s acting that businesses aren’t closed.”

Paul, 23, has more than 20 million subscribers on YouTube.
