Marvel’s Jessica Jones - Season 2 Official Trailer

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has said that Netflix shows including Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage could return in the future.

All five series were cancelled by the streaming giant in 2019 ahead of the launch of Disney’s own streaming service Disney+.

Marvel Studios had previously been unable to revive any of the shows or feature the superheroes in their films or TV shows because Netflix still owned the rights. Those rights, however, have since expired meaning that the resurrection of such shows is now possible.

Speaking to Deadline, Feige revealed that he’d “never say never” to a revival of some or all of the cancelled series.

“Well, certainly you’ve seen what we announced at Comic-Con a year and a half ago and on Disney Investor Day a few weeks ago, so that’s our focus,” he said.

Feige’s announcement will be welcomed by fans who have been campaigning for Marvel bosses to bring back Netflix’s Daredevil series, using the hashtag #SaveDaredevil on social media.

Fans may be waiting for a while, however, with Marvel’s slate looking very busy for the years ahead.

Feige also recently discussed how the studio is planning to approach Black Panther 2, following Chadwick Boseman’s death in August last year.

He had also previously revealed that Deadpool 3 will be the studio’s first R-rated film. However, fans will be disappointed to hear that the forthcoming instalment of the franchise will not be filming this year.
