Simon Cowell has no plans for Katie Hopkins to become a judge on Britain’s Got Talent anytime soon.

Asked if there would ever be space for the professional motor mouth on the judging panel of his ITV show, Cowell said: “I would rather take a bath, fill it with vinegar, cut myself a thousand times, immerse myself slowly for an hour, than work with her. So the answer is no.”

Earlier this month, the former Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother contestant said she would like to join the show.

Simon Cowell categorically does not want to hire Hopkins

“There is a role for Miss Nasty on any panel. We don’t have any good Miss Nasties at the moment because everyone wants to be sweet like Cheryl Cole,” she said.

“They want to be loved. It would be good to have someone different. There’s absolutely more TV coming up for me.”

Last night Hopkins tweeted in response to Cowell’s comments, joking that he was “still sitting on the fence” about rumours she would be joining the panel.

She later said she thought he’d be better on a new show called “LGBT”, rather than “BGT”.

Britain’s Got Talent judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell will all return for the show’s ninth series later this year.
