Films and TV shows based on comic books are currently Hollywood’s bread and butter, numerous series being commissioned by various studios.

Unsurprisingly, Frank Miller’s iconic comic series Sin City is getting the reboot treatment, with The Weinstein Company’s developing the new adaptation for television.

Glen Mazzara — who acted as executive producer and writer on numerous episode of The Walking Dead, The Shield, and Life — will helm the project. Underworld’s Len Wiseman will direct

Previously, Sin City was adapted into two films, both directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, the first with assistance from Quentin Tarantino.

The films featured incredible casts, including the likes of Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Benicio del Toro, Elijah Wood, Christopher Lloyd, Lady Gaga, Eva Green and Josh Brolin.

Producers include Miller, Mazzara, and Wiseman, along with Stephen L’Heureux — who also produced Sin City: A Dame to Kill For — and Bob & Harvey Weinstein.

According to Deadline, who broke the story, various networks are circling the project which will likely introduce original characters set in the already established Sin City universe.
