The Walking Dead’s season seven premiere was entirely brutal: so much so that some viewers have declared they will no longer watch the AMC show.

One of the more horrendous moments came when Glenn’s head was beaten to a pulp by the infamous Negan, recreating the famous comic-book panel from which it was influenced.

As was inevitable, the moment has been recreated using Lego: despite featuring a children’s toy, the scene is just as gruesome. Watch at your own peril.

Meanwhile, Glenn actor Steven Yeun has spoken about his personal ambivalence about leaving the show, telling one publication: “I don’t know if I’ve fully processed it yet. This is something that will hit me maybe a couple of months from now. Or maybe it’ll hit me next year. Maybe it’ll be when I’m 45 and all of a sudden I’m just crying in my kitchen and I can’t explain why.”

Following the episode being broadcast, Yeun also revealed that ever since seeing the iconic comic-book panel he has wanted the character to die that way.

"Robert wrote such a messed up and incredible way to take something away to make a story as impactful as it is and when you read that comic, you kinda don't want that to go to anyone else. It's such an iconic moment," he said on The Talking Dead.

In other Walking Dead news, Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has spoken about how long his character will remain on the show.
