Company produces new Breaking Bad-inspired toy

Pondering what to get your discerning little ones for Christmas this year? Well this probably isn't it.

Complete with models of a murderous drugs kingpin, junkie paraphernalia and a even a toy recreational vehicle for those late night desert cooking trips, a new Breaking Bad-inspired toy certainly isn't suitable for children.

Thanks to an enterprising company called Citizen Brick, which specialises in creating off-the-wall custom made collectible toys, fans of the award-winning series detailing the exploits of Walter White, a high-school chemistry teacher turned killer drugs baron, can now play out scenes on their living room carpet - should they so wish.

Earlier this year, one Breaking Bad fan imagined what a Lego video game based on the show would look like. The parody apparently prompted Citizen Brick to make their own toy dubbed the the Superlab Playset, a 500-piece recreation of Walter White's meth empire in toy bricks.

Those who get their hands on the product, which has already sold out, will find minifigures of Walter White, enforcer Mike Ehrmantraut and drugs kingpin Gustavo Fring.

Fring's head even contains a surprise reverse side showing a shocking image of his face familiar to those who follow the series.

In its sales puff for the collection Citizen Brick says: “Soothe yourself with the Citizen Brick Superlab Playset.

Who knows what fun you’ll cook up with this deluxe set, chock full of realistic details, and three exclusive minifigs! Over 500 parts!"

The product, which is not connected to the Danish company Lego in any way and was made by an entirely separate firm, costs $250 and has already proved so popular it has sold out.

Not everyone is pleased at the creation of the product with some users of the social networking site Twitter condemning it as irresponsible.

The drama which is in its fifth and final series has been a massive global hit garnering critical acclaim and millions of committed fans worldwide.
