THE POOR appeal of this year's men's Wimbledon final between the characterless Pete Sampras and Jim Courier was reflected in the viewing figures. Only 7.56 million switched on compared to 10.89 million for last year's sexier battle between Goran Ivanisevic and Andre Agassi. The ladies' final attracted 7.10 million compared to last year's 7.13 million. The allegedly all-improved Eldorado celebrated its second-last week on air by dropping out of BBC1's top 30 programmes. Jonathan Ross's Fantastic Facts has a new fact to consider - it no longer features in ITV's top 30. Last week's viewing figures incorrectly stated that 2.52 million watched the last Cheers episode. It should have been 4.9 million.
