Another week, another entry intoActivision’s Hero series – butwhile lastweek’s DJHero pushed the boundaries, Band Hero feels more like an exercise in rebranding. Though bundled with an admittedly excellent drum kit, mic and guitar, there is no getting away from the feeling that this is simply a Guitar Hero 5 add-on. That isn’t the worst criticism by any means, but it is a shame that there is little new here. It’s a fine starting place for newcomers to the series, just not revolutionary enough to demand a purchase.
