The original DS was a chunky little beast, and Nintendo swiftly replaced it with the sleeker DS Lite.

This, in turn, was traded in for the equally slinky DSi, which packed new features into its slimline frame. Now, though, Japanese gamers are getting to grips with the DSi LL – a bumper-sized version of the dual-screen device. And they seem to like its larger (4.25-inch) screens, as 103,524 of them flew off the shelves in the first two days of sale. And I thought that size didn’t matter...
