Gomez claims that 'Clothes Forever - Styling Game' have profited from using her image

Selena Gomez is suing the makers of a mobile phone game for allegedly using her image without permission.

On Tuesday, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer filed a lawsuit against the collection of the tech companies behind Clothes Forever – Styling Game, accusing them of profiting from using her likeness and name.

According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Gomez says that the game clearly copied her cover shoot from fashion magazine Flare, which sees the former Disney Channel star wear a white t-shirt and black strapless leather dress.

Gomez claims she was “shocked” when she learned about the app’s existence, saying she has worked hard to build up a strong brand, only for it to be undermined by this association with the game.

The performer is suing for damages and a share of the profits and asking for the game to stop using her image.

Gomez is currently the fifth most popular person on Instagram with more than 173 million followers, and her sponsored posts are reportedly worth as much as $800,000 each.
