Roppongi Art Night
March 27
Tokyo, Japan

It may be art, but the Roppongi Art Night 2010 is likely to end up closer to a street festival. The event will be held from dusk on March 27 to the following dawn. Similar in theme to the "White Night" events started in Paris in 2002 and now held in several countries around the world, the first Roppongi incarnation attracted incredible installations and some truly avant-garde performances, from a robot that breathed fire to a traditional Japanese teahouse made out of Styrofoam.

Begun in 1996, this pageant is organized by the Miss World Organization and is one of the biggest male beauty pageants in the world. The last contest took place in 2007 and elected Spanish contestant Juan Garcia.

Picasso: Themes and Variations
March 28 - September 6
MoMA
New York, USA

One hundred works by Picasso will examine the themes and variations that reappear throughout his career. The exhibition traces the links between his early depictions of itinerant circus performers during his Blue and Rose periods, through to his inventive use of shape and form during his Cubism phase. The exhibition explores his experimentation with the mediums of etching, lithography, painting and printmaking as well as showing how the artist developed his style whilst investigating new themes.
