This year's Beach Soccer World Cup kicks off on November 16 at the Jumeirah open beach in Dubai. Top footballing countries have teams travelling to the finals. Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Uraguay, Italy, Nigeria and the Ivory Coast will join 12-timeswinners Brazil in the finals.

Elton John's AIDS Foundation benefit

The Elton John AIDS Foundation's is organizing the 7th Enduring Vision benefit to raise money for AIDS research, HIV prevention programs, care and support services in New York City. The previous edition in 2008 had raised nearly $2.1 million. This year Donna Summer is scheduled to share the stage with Elton John to support his charity. President Bill Clinton and actress Sharon Stone are among this year's honorees.
