The Duke of York opens the new European headquarters of LSI Logic Limited at Greenwood House, Bracknell, Berkshire. The Princess Royal opens the new campus of Napier University, Edinburgh; as President, Scottish Chambers of Commerce, attends the First Annual Conference at The Exchange, Edinburgh; visits Dobbie and Co and opens the new extension to the garden centre, Melville Nursery, Lasswade, Midlothian; as Patron, Citizens Advice Scotland, visits Dalkeith and District Citizens Advice Bureau, Dalkeith, Midlothian.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Wales mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Scots Guards.
