Whether it's her Coachella-inspired Balmain collection or her Ivy Park athleisure line, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has firmly established herself as a fashion trendsetter throughout her 22-year music career.

Not only has the star left her sartorial mark on fans around the world, but she's also had a strong influence on someone much closer to home – her seven-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Blue Ivy has proven herself to be quite the style maven, appearing with her mother at award shows, premieres and sporting events dressed in designer garb from head to toe.

Just last week, the mother-daughter duo attended the Hollywood premiere of Disney's 2019 live-action remake of The Lion King. For the occasion, Beyoncé wore a striking Alexander McQueen beaded gown, while Blue Ivy wore a similarly embellished black blazer also by the designer.

On Tuesday 16 July, Beyoncé released the music video for "Spirit", a new song from The Lion King soundtrack.

Described by the artist as a "love letter to Africa", the video featured Blue Ivy dressed in a similar pink and red ruffled dress to her mother's.

The young girl had her hair dyed a dusky shade of red, matching the outfits worn by the backing singers in the shot.

On Saturday, Beyoncé and Jay-Z attended the European premiere of The Lion King in Leicester Square, London.

The couple made the acquaintance of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during the star-studded event.

After embracing the duchess, the singer told her that her son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is "so beautiful", before adding that she and her husband "love" the royal couple.
