App watch: Waze

in the world of free voice-enabled satnavs, Google Maps is king. But give Waze a whirl. It monitors user movements and allows you to update traffic status: real-time data (up to a point) sees journey times and routes are altered accordingly. It's not all great: keep an eye on route selection. Otherwise, it's impressive.
