Fashion: From A-list to Xmas list

In time for party season and present-buying alike, the designer Roksanda Ilincic announces a line of six jersey dresses that will be on sale exclusively through Net-a-Porter this month. Her rich jewel shades and dramatically draped silhouettes have become a modern standard on the red carpet. But if you want to get all dressed for somewhere slightly less glamorous, the rendering of some of Ilincic's most famous designs in casual jersey means they're more suited to our own, ahem, less celestial lifestyles.

From 19 December, starting at £600, net-a-porter.com

Face to watch: Zawe Ashton

She’s been a hit on stage (nominated for best actor under 30), on screen (as stoner Vod in Fresh Meat), as a screenwriter and slam poet. Now catch the multi-talented Ashton in the hard-hitting docudrama Dreams of a Life. Out 16 December.
