Dress code: Beverley Knight, Singer

What are you wearing right now?

A pair of black Vera Moda jeggings with ankle zips, and an ASOS grey long-sleeved jersey padded shoulder top. And a pair of Diesel Black Gold platform wedge heeled lace-up boots.

What can't you live without?

High-heeled shoes will never, ever leave my wardrobe. This world would be a drab place without the clip-clop of a fierce pair of heels attached to a fab pair of legs sashaying down the street.

Describe the best outfit you have ever worn ...

In the video to my song "The Shape of You" I wore a white classic Yves Saint Laurent "le smoking" tuxedo and fabulous snakeskin Dior boots. I was channelling a sexed-up black Dietrich. Loved it.

What's in your wardrobe?

Around 50 pairs of jeans in every cut! I went through a "jacket phase" a while back too. Don't even start me on how many pairs of shoes I own. I lost count at 400. Everyone's got one vice, don't they?

What is in your make-up bag?

I have an array of cosmetics from my own make-up line, K by Beverley Knight, including lipgloss in blackberry, black mascara, my light oil-free foundation in deep mocha, and pressed powder.

How often do you look in the mirror?

Often! I don't need a dodgy picture of me in "Heat" with a "spinach smile".

Any fashion confessions you want to share with us?

A long time ago, I was too heavy for my natural frame. I was so used to being small, so I still dressed "little". Mistake.

Beverley's album "100%" is out today. K by Beverley Knight cosmetics launches on 17 September: Selfridges.com
