The military trend is one of the most wearable looks of autumn/winter. Shades of khaki and army green are good neutral shades and easily integrated into most wardrobes.

Army-inspired styling works particular well for outerwear; from shearling aviator jackets to parka coats which will make both an aesthetic and functional addition to any wardrobe.

For an easy way to buy into the military look start with accessories. A pair of clumpy ankle boots with chain detailing will instantly add a utility element to any look.

Similarly, chunky metallic jewellery and hardware detailing on accessories are a quick fix.

For the most committed take on this trend go for the colour head-to-toe. A mix of materials will bring added texture to the look and when opting for pieces like leather, silks and soft cashmere are a good way to soften the look.
