Meghan Markle's £45 Marks & Spencer jumper sells out within hours of Brixton visit
But, it’s finally back in stock
A Marks & Spencer jumper worn by Meghan Markle has sold out just hours after her visit to a Brixton, south London, radio station.
The woman who can seemingly wear anything, Markle might have sported a £56,000 couture gown for her engagement photographs, but for her second official public engagement with Prince Harry, the actress selected a high/low mix of both designer and high street.
Sporting a chic all-black ensemble, the 36-year-old wore the black round-neck knit with bell sleeves from Marks & Spencer to visit the studio of community radio station Reprezent in south London on Tuesday.
She expertly teamed it with a pair of wide-leg Burberry trousers, a £580 camel coloured coat by Canadian brand Smythe, and continued her nod to the British high street by wrapping up in a scarf from Jigsaw.
Despite the stylish jumper being in stock that very morning, it had completely sold out online by 6pm as fans went on a frantic rush to emulate her look.
However, if you missed out first time round the good news is that Marks & Spencer has finally restocked the jumper.
Less than 48 hours after selling out, the retailer has relaunched the popular knit from its Autograph collection which, at the time of writing, is available in every size.
But at just £45, you’re going to have to be quick.
This isn’t the first time the so-called ‘Markle Effect’ has seen the bride-to-be’s style choices sell out though.
For her first royal engagement with Prince Harry, Markle wore a £455 tri-colour leather midi tote by Scottish label Strathberry, which promptly sold out.
It has also been reported that following the news of their engagement, demand for three diamond stone rings in a gold setting skyrocketed after the actress revealed her custom made ring to the world.
