Style blogger Tommy Ton's recent tweet of upcoming "crazy" news guaranteed to "shake" the fashion world have been revealed as nothing but a joke by Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.

Even though Ton didn't say what the prank was, he tweeted: "Guessing game is over. My source and I are the victim of a good prank played by Mr. Tisci himself. He got us good :(."

His original post had prompted speculation (again) that Chanel might be considering finding a successor for its head designer, Karl Lagerfeld, with Lanvin's Alber Elbaz believed by many to be the most likely candidate.

But Chanel stated that there is currently no plan to replace Lagerfeld, issuing the following release: "KL is Chanel's creative director and has a long-term contract that is by no means reassessed. His succession is not on the agenda."

Media had been speculating what else Ton could be hinting at, but as it turns out, this whole frenzy was much ado about nothing.
