In her latest Dior campaign for the brand’s new ‘Be Dior’ line of bags Jennifer Lawrence opens up about powerful women, the perfect pose and Patrick Demarchelier.

The 24-year-old Oscar-winning actress is known for goofing around and falling off on the red carpet, but on her fourth campaign for the luxury French fashion house, she proves she can do serious ladylike too.

In the autumn/winter 14 photoshoot, shot by legendary fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier, she appears with her short blonde hair slicked back, sporting a black dress and matching blazer, and Dior’s bestseller ear studs.

Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video, Lawrence said being shot by the 71-year-old was “such a privilege”. “He is a legend and he has such an incredible eye for beauty. All of his photographs are effortless and timeless.”

But she also gets into deeper conversation and talks about what makes a powerful woman. “It's someone who exudes confidence, and who can be tough but fair and kind - and who also knows how to get what she wants,” she said.

The Hunger Games star looks flawless and stunning and so she shared her top tips for pulling off the perfect model pose: “I feel like every time you get in front of the camera, it's important to have a character in mind, or even an emotion, just so you have something in your eyes.”
