LVMH this morning announced the eight designers nominated for the 2015 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.

The final list includes London based design talent Craig Green, Faustine Steinmetz and Marques' Almeida.

The other 5 in the running are: Arthur Arbesser, Coperni, Jacquemus, Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh and Vetements.

The winning designer will be decided by a veritable list of judges - creative directors of the LVMH brands who together make up the deciding jury; J.W Anderson (of Loewe), Nicolas Ghesquiere (of Louis Vuitton), Marc Jacobs (of Marc Jacobs) Karl Lagerfeld (of Fendi), Humberto Leon and Carol Lim (of Kenzo), Phoebe Philo (of Celine), Raf Simons (of Dior), Riccardo Tisci (of Givenchy). Plus executives from LVMH.

The LVMH prize is awarded to a designer, under the age of 40 who has already sold at least 2 men's or womenswear ready-to-wear collections.

Winning the award is a huge boost for an up-and-coming fashion label which will receive 300,000 euro prize money plus the assistance of LVMH in developing their brand for a year.

Thomas Tait was the recipient of last year's award

The winner will be announced in May.
