New York Fashion Week got underway this week, kick starting a month long marathon of fashion shows which span the globe.

One of the highlights of the week comes courtesy of Givenchy who will relocate its show - the first time the brand has shown outside Paris since 1952. And if that's not enough there are rumors (we emphasise the rumors part of that) that Caitlyn Jenner will walk in the show.

In a positive step towards democratisation of fashion shows, the brand has also given away over 1000 tickets to the show to members of the public.

There's always movement at the top of fashion houses and this season the spotlight is on Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School who will show their debut collection for DKNY following the departure of Donna Karan earlier this year.

Alexander Wang's show is one of the most eagerly anticipated of the week, none more so than this season which is the first since it was announced that the designer would not be continuing in his role at Balenciaga - expect a strong collection from the New York Fashion Week favourite.

Kanye West's debut collection for Adidas made headlines back in February when it launched to the most impressive front row the city has ever seen. Page Six are reporting West is set to launch his second collection for the brand later this week.

Other key moments to look out for: Victoria Beckham's latest offering for her mainline collection, Thom Browne's theatrical show and Marc Jacobs finishing off the week before the spectacle moves onto London.
