Women's Wear Daily reports that French designer Roland Mouret is preparing to present his first men's range next year.

According to the trade paper, the collection will comprise 15 suits and separates, priced from around $1,600 to $3,800.

Talking to WWD about the reasons behind the line, he said: "There [was] a moment in my life that I didn't find at all what I really wanted to wear.

"It may be pretentious, but I wanted to have texture, the right shoulder line, I wanted to find a suit where I don't feel like a business man inside it."

Buyers say that Mouret's women's wear still proves one of the most popular among shoppers, which is probably due to the designer's universally chic design aesthetic: his best-known dress, the 'Galaxy,' is the outfit that reportedly scored the most celebrity appearances on the red carpet.
