First, Primark released the Beauty and the Beast Chip mug, then it was the £3 Harry Potter bunting shortly followed by an entire range of HP-inspired gear.

But the latest character item to hit the retail giant’s purse-friendly shelves might just be the most highly-anticipated yet.

Say hello to 'Minnie Mouse' heels – and yes, they’re covered ear to toe in glitter.

The sparkly stilettos are already sending shoppers into a flurry of excitement, hailing them as the perfect shoes for the festive season - even though they won’t be released for another two months, when the full AW17 collection drops.

Though the heels make no direct reference to Miss Mouse, Disney aficionados and hopeless romantics can’t help but compare the bow-shaped back to Minnie’s iconic ears.

Coming in both gold and black styles (and at just £14 a pair), the shoes will undoubtedly be one of the most popular bargain buys come the Christmas party season, where style points are awarded according to glitter levels.

Note: if you’re wearing these, chances are you’ll rate highly.

The shoes do bear a striking resemblance to £430 pair by Oscar Tiye, whose golden stilettos form part of the Italian designer's spring/summer 2017 collection.

Obviously, Primark's version will set you back a little less.

Primark have championed a slew of gimmick products this year – the Chip cup caused a frenzy on social media when it was released in March to tie in with the new Beauty and the Beast film. The £5 mug sold out within weeks.

The Harry Potter collection was rolled out last month, featuring a whole host of magical goodies across clothing, homewares and even stationary. The highly popular range included potion bottle fairy lights (£8), Hogwarts cushions (£6) and “future wizard” babygrows.

You could buy the entire collection for just £156.50.

Now that’s what shoppers would call magic.
