British Vogue reports that Selfridges' new shoe floor will be the biggest project undertaken by the owners since acquiring the London department store in 2003.
Deemed by many to be the future biggest shoe department in the world, the new space will be bigger than, for instance, the ground floor of the city's Tate Modern art museum - a former turbine factory.
According to Vogue, the new department will be designed by architect Jamie Forbert and host brands ranging from Givenchy, Chloe, and Stella McCartney to Rodarte and Alejandro Ingelmo.
The opening is set for September.
