Nothing quite signals the countdown to Christmas like the arrival of festive high street food and today, Pret a Manger’s holiday menu returns for another year.

To celebrate, this morning the sandwich shop are giving away 5,000 specially wrapped Christmas Lunch and Veggie Christmas Lunch sandwiches across all 320 branches until they run out – go, go, go.

Pret's Vegan Christmas Baguette

But, in case you miss the rush or fancy delving into something a little sweeter here’s what else is on the menu.

This year sees the arrival of Pret’s first ever vegan Christmas baguette named ‘Very Merry Christmas Lunch”. It’s packed with grilled carrots, parsnip puree and crispy onions, festive chutney and a handful of freshly toasted pistachios.

There are also two brand new Christmas toasties – French brie & cranberry and ham hock & chutney. Not to mention the introduction of a macaroni cheese chock-full of ham hock and everyone’s seasonal favourite, brussel sprouts.

Melvin the melting gingerbread snowman

Got a sweet tooth? Luckily, there are three new treats on the menu too – a chocolate praline cookie with a melt in the middle centre, Melvin the melting gingerbread snowman and a muffettone – a muffin, panettone mashup bursting with cranberries, currants, orange zest and almonds.

Pret's Christmas Tiffin

Also available are traditional mince pies, Christmas Tiffin and Mint Hot Chocolate.
