World's starred chefs cook for one week in Bangkok

The 11th Annual World Gourmet Festival welcomes Michelin star chefs from Argentina to Hong Kong to celebrate fine food and wine at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok in Thailand September 6-12.

The following chefs will be preparing decadent meals:

Anthony Demetre, Wild Honey and Arbutus restaurants, London, UK
Alejandro Digilio, La Vineria de Gualterio Bolivar, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Gale Gand, TRU, Chicago, Illinois, USA

Plus Chandler Burr, the New York Times perfume critic will bring to Bangkok his "Scent Dinner."  Burr describes the experience as an "olfactory dinner, with each course ...guests enjoy professional-grade gourmand perfumery raw materials such as - essences and absolutes of French mint, Brazilian cacao, Peruvian pink peppercorn, Indian saffron - and the great culinary perfumes that began with Guerlain's 1925 Shalimar (whose heart is vanilla), Angel (its key molecule is ethyl maltol, the molecule you taste when you eat cotton candy), Tom Ford's Black Orchid (powered with a chewy, dirty absolute of rum), and the great new chocolate floral Missoni."
