2NE1's "Hate You" approaches 2 million views: viral video spotlight

"Hate You," the latest single from South Korean girl group 2NE1, has shot to the top of the YouTube charts with nearly two million views in two days.
The single from 2NE1 - CL, Minzy, Dara and Bom - is mostly sung in Korean, except for the refrain "fine living without you, hate you."
The video of " Hate You," which shows the girls in a manga-style animation violently pursuing a fugitive who turns into a giant monster across a futuristic fantasy wasteland, was uploaded on July 20 and, as of 10:30 GMT July 22 has been viewed 1,778,236 times.
The video is currently ranked number one in YouTube's "most watched today" chart and number 13 in the "most watched this week" chart. A teaser for the clip also appears at number eight in the weekly chart.
YouTube statistics show that the video is most popular with female viewers aged 13-34 across all continents apart from Africa.
