Current Twitter trends: Scream Awards, Michael Bisping, Brian Wilson, Giants won

"Scream Awards" is the most hotly discussed topic on Twitter on October 18 at 7:30 AM GMT.

The "Scream Awards," an annual award show for feature films in the genres of horror, science fiction and fantasy is in second place just behind " Paranormal Activity 2," the title of horror film being promoted on Twitter.  

The name of English Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) martial artist Michael "Bisping" is in third place while Japanese mixed martial artist and UFC fighter Yoshihiro "Akiyama" is in fifth place.

The memes "#fearthebeard" and "#horariodeverao" are in fourth and sixth places. "Giants Won" measures up in seventh place and "Win Game" is in tenth position.  

"San Fran Giants won, ok? Big whoop. Yankees still the worlds best. The End," tweets a Twitter user upset over the result of a Major League Baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies.

San Francisco Giants team members "Brian Wilson" and "Cody Ross" are also in the trending topics in eighth and ninth places.
