The world’s biggest week in gaming kicks off in Los Angeles next week as E3 2014 opens its doors. As ever, all the big studios and manufacturers from Ubisoft to Microsoft will be hawking their wares, offering journalists and enthusiasts demos of the latest games – as well hopefully revealing some new titles.

We’ve put together a list of the games we’re most looking forward to hearing more about below, but in brief we’re expecting:

  • Sony will gloat about the success of the PS4 and unveil some more exclusives (Uncharted 4, maybe God of War 4 as well)
  • Microsoft will retaliate with a games-games-games approach aimed at remedying their media-focused presentation last year (the new, cheaper, Kinect-less Xbox will be going on sale as well)
  • And Nintendo will do their best to get people even vaguely excited about the Wii U (and maybe even want to buy it as well). Mario Kart 8 has done well for them - hopefully they can keep some momentum going.

Click through below for more details on the games we’re excited about:

It’s also worth noting that there aren’t just traditional games to look forward to, with Oculus expected to give more details about the consumer version of the Oculus Rift and Sony to fire back with more news about their rival VR headset – Project Morpheus.

Whatever happens you can check back with us next week for the news as it happens.
