Games Review: Far Cry 2
PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Ubisoft, £34.99 - £49.99
Despite its name, Far Cry 2 is no straight sequel.
Forget mutant foes and familiar characters: here you’re thrown into a war in Africa with no explanation or agenda. What it lacks in back story, though, Far Cry 2, set in an openworld designed for exploration, more than makes up for in tension and testing missions. As you complete quests, you unlock more weapons, allowing you to play in more creative – and violent – ways. Far Cry 2 should win you over as a classy FPS.
