Games Review: Midnight Club: Los Angeles

It’s the first time that Midnight Club has appeared on next-gen consoles, but it has been worth the wait.

And Rockstar has picked LA, the ultimate place to set its road racer. Players get a good sense of the City of Angels as they powerslide their muscle cars – and bikes – to the extreme, dodging cops and completing missions. Annoyingly, the AI seems skewed toward other racers, so the first few attempts to win are frustrating affairs, but once you’ve upgraded your motor and got the hang of the game, things do improve.
