Games Review: Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchid
iPhone/iPod Touch, Ngmoco, £5.99
The wibbly-wobbly world of Rolando proved to be so lovely first time around it sent gamers – and critics – into paroxysms of delight. Its second incarnation is even more charming. The intuitive controls continue to do an excellent job and the 45 jewel-coloured levels are designed to challenge players at every turn. As well as new landscapes, players now need to navigate through watery levels where they’ll need to discover how to roll with this newelement. Deceptively simple and disarmingly cheap, Rolando 2 is a treat and a triumph.
