Games Review: East India Company
PC, Ascaron, £29.99
There are thrills to be had in East IndiaCompany, but they don’t come from exploring unknown foreign colonies or engaging in violent sword fights. Instead, this trading game offers the excitement of tidy profits and audacious deals, pulled off with only a ship, a harbour and a small bag of gold at your disposal. As you progress in the game, however, you will soon be investing in fleets of ships and having swashbuckling adventures on the high seas – all good – and watching a lot of load screens – not good. Still, it’s an elegant trading title marred by the odd flaw.
