Next version coming on 18 November, 2014
Rockstar has announced a slew of exclusive GTA V extras to incentivise those playing on Xbox 360 and PS3 to make the jump to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Aside to the graphical improvements to Los Santos and Blaine County and increased online player counts already promised, the developer has come up with an array of new items that can be unlocked through gameplay activities.
Here's a quick rundown of what's coming:
- The Dodo seaplane (a GTA classic)
- Imponte Duke O'Death car (both you must complete mini-missions to attain)
- Murder mystery – 'As Michael, follow a trail of cryptic clues to unravel a grisly murder mystery. Put the clues together and you'll unlock two Noir Style Filters, which will give your Story Mode gameplay and Snapmatic photos the feel of a gritty old school crime classic.'
- High velocity rail gun
- Hatchet melee weapon
- Kraken Sub (unlocked by taking parting a wildlife photograph challenge as Franklin, snapping the new animals added to Los Santos)
- Stock car races (unlocks logo-covered muscle cars)
- New monkey outfits and Go Monkey Blista (photograph series of graffiti tags that have popped up around town)
- Cheval Marshall monster truck
- Faster and more manoeuvrable Xero Gas Blimp
Current GTA Online players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to pick up the game where they left off, transferring their characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC (Social Club membership required).
Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a bonus of GTA$1M ($500k for Story Mode and $500k for use in Grand Theft Auto Online).
Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC is released on 18 November.
