Online gamers face virus threat

Bad news for fans of online gaming – according to new research, you are increasingly at risk of having your log-in details stolen.

The last sixmonths have seen more than 4.9 million cases of the Taterf worm, the Microsoft Security Intelligence Report said. The malicious program poses a particular threat to players of online role-playing games such as ‘World of Warcraft’ and ‘Lineage’ because it searches for passwords and other details associated with these titles.
