Amazon’s new Prime Day 2017 deals make for far better browsing for technology enthusiasts than yesterday’s.

The company has just reduced the prices of several excellent sets of headphones, including over-ear, in-ear and sports models.

If you’ve been looking for a pair, today might just be your lucky day.

Over-ear headphones

The Philips Fidelio X2 Hi-Res headphones are down to £129.99 (RRP £272.07). That’s a massive price reduction for a highly rated high-resolution audio set.

If that’s a little steep for you, the Sennheiser HD 598SR over-ear headphones are now available for £99 (RRP £199).

In-ear headphones

The Sony XBA-N1AP Premium High-Res Audio in-ear headphones with dynamic drivers are now down to £79.99 (£150), and the already temptingly cheap Sony MDR-EX450AP in-ear headphones are £19.99 (RRP £40).

Sports headphones

If you need a new pair of headphones you can exercise in, Jaybird has you covered. Today, you can get its Freedom Wireless headphones for £79 (RRP £139.99).

If you're not tempted by any of the offers above, you can keep an eye on the Lightning Deals section, which contains completely different listings that launch and expire throughout the day.

You need to be an Amazon Prime member in order to access the Prime Day deals.

The subscription service also gets you one-day delivery on orders, but costs £79 per year or £7.99 per month.

Fortunately, you can sign up for a free 30-day Amazon Prime trial ahead of Prime Day, and cancel it at a later date.
