Top 10 video game guides: 'Borderlands' rejoins the fray
The 10 most popular game guides on GameFAQs on Wednesday, March 3, included advice and tours of PS3 murder-mystery Heavy Rain, the 360's action-packed science-fiction Mass Effect 2, and the multi-platform Borderlands as it receives yet more extra content.
Heavy Rain remains buoyant as players continue to wade through the detective thriller's multiple storylines.
The narrative complexity means that detailed walkthroughs are slow in coming forward but two trophy guides have appeared, containing spoilers galore for those that would rather (or rather not) know what major events lie ahead.
Mass Effect 2 recently received a walkthrough focusing on its hardest difficulty mode, "Insanity," unlockable only by completing the game on both Veteran and Hardcore difficulty levels.
The most popular question concerns one of the tricky final missions and players' desire to escape unscathed despite its kamikaze nature.
The team behind Borderlands keep churning out downloadable content for the October 2009 game, and in the week previous to this chart, Gearbox dropped another payload of off-world wilderness gun play.
The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx is the third batch of extra material, coming after The Zombie Island of Dr Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot.
Released on February 23 on Xbox 360 and February 25 on PC and PlayStation 3, it is perhaps too soon to expect walkthroughs to include full updates for The Secret Armoury, but there has certainly been a renewed interest in the title.
