Technology and social media blog Mashable has been touring around the USA, stopping in Seattle and San Francisco. On August 5, the team will drop by Washington DC where between 300 and 600 participants will come to meet with industry leaders and network with others in the technology industry. Mashable will also make a stop in New York City on August 9 and in Chicago on August 11.

QuakeCon is the largest LAN event in North America. Gamers from across the world come with their computers to meet other gamers face-to-face and play in this massive gaming tournament. The latest games and hardware are on show during the event. The free, four-day festival is often dubbed the "Woodstock of Gaming."

DigiFestival is an international online film and video festival. The festival is in its sixth year and during the month-long event viewers are invited to watch and vote for films submitted in the movie, music, animation, video art and sports categories. Winners will be announced towards the end of the year with the top three films in each category receiving a full international Digital Distribution Deal as part of the prize.
