Not to be left behind by the deep discounts enjoyed by PC gamers at this time of year, Sony and Microsoft have announced sales for downloadable games on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PSP.

Xbox LIVE's Countdown to New Year's Eve features daily deals as well ten titles on continuous discount. Included among the ten are top Xbox 360 games Super Meat Boy, Castle Crashers, Banjo Tooie, Toy Soldiers, and well-polished board game conversions Risk: Factions and Carcassonne. Those interested in Super Meat Boy might like to keep the Steam Network website bookmarked in case the PC version reappears in the sale there.
