Tens of thousands of health care professionals are gathering in Dubai on January 24 for the 36th Arab Health conference, an international business networking event among healthcare, medical, and science professionals held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

More than 2,700 exhibitors from 60 countries will be exhibiting new products and innovations in the health care sector in what is reportedly the largest trade show in the region.

This year the event, which runs January 24-27, will house 31 pavilions from countries around the world, including Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, representing brands and trends in those countries. Also the event offers workshops, meetings, and networking opportunities for health care pros in one of the fast-growing health care markets in the world.

For visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of new products, some of the innovations on display include Medicool's new line of diabetic traveling kits, including a Mini Medication Refrigerator that can be plugged into an electrical outlet or into a 12 V car socket. Also on display will be AMT's SpeachEasy, a vocal fluency-enhancing device that fits in or behind the ear inconspicuously and can help people who stutter to speak more fluently.

Ansell Healthcare will demonstrate its newest novelties in surgical gloves, and British-based Sidhil will roll out its high-tech hospital bed, featuring an antimicrobial coating.

Weightloss Solutions Australia is also launching MediCuisine, a new range of pre-packaged meals developed for weight loss.

Also on the horizon is the 7th Health Asia Exhibition and Conferences 2011, scheduled March 22-24, 2011 in Pakistan. Last year, this event drew representation from 15 international countries and a crowd of 30,000.
