May 26 is Day 8 of iVillage's Walk On Rock On Community Challenge and walking guru Leslie Sansone has emailed participants a workout that includes using her walk belt, a special fitness belt that has two resistance bands attached.

The four-week fitness event that includes free daily walking assignments and music suggestions encourages people everywhere to get fit simply by walking to good tunes daily.

The Day 8 workout is enhanced with this two-minute walk belt routine:

The Walk N' Tone Belt, created by Sansone, is available in lower and higher resistance and sells online for ($19.95/€16.22) and the Powerbelt Walking System ($79.95/€65), a more complicated option that includes retractable cords, is another belt combo option.

If you are unable to get the belt, other resistance bands, including Ripcords ($15.95/12.97), Bodylastics (sets begin at €33.83-67.61) or event two thin pilates bands joined together, can create the same effect.

The Flex Belt ($199/€161.80) could also be an option, if you prefer the belt to do all the work for you as it claims to tone, firm and strengthen your abs with no effort.

In case you haven't had a chance to sign-in for free on the site, the walking challenge for May 26 in addition to the two-minute routine is to w alk for 45 minutes at 4.5 mph or 140 steps per minute.

The three recommended songs to keep you energized are "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay; "Who's That Lady?" by The Isley Brothers; and "I Got You (I Feel Good)" by James Brown.
