Health Update: Circumcision alert

JEWS and Muslims who wish to have their male children circumcised should be told of the risk of dangerous complications, paediatricians from Guy's Hospital, London, have warned. In the British Medical Journal they describe how three baby boys were admitted to hospital with breathing problems, vomiting and abdominal swelling after undergoing ritual circumcision. All had been tightly bandaged and were suffering from urinary obstruction, which can lead to kidney failure. They recovered after treatment.
