Health Update: Forgetful mothers
PREGNANCY can lead to memory loss, say obstetricians at Bristol University School of Medicine. In a study involving 67 women who were given a battery of memory tests, they found that the pregnant group showed impaired memory compared with other female patients. Memory loss may prevent women from following medical advice, they warn in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
