Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have welcomed a second baby, according to former NSYNC singer Lance Bass.

Bass, who remains friends with his former bandmate Justin, told Entertainment Tonight that the rumours about a second baby were true.

In a video interview, he was asked: “Jessica and Justin reportedly welcomed their second child. Have you had a chance to say congratulations at all?”

He responded: “Well of course! We’ve talked several times and of course we knew it before anyone else did so it’s been a fun celebration and they’re very very happy.”

The band, who officially split in 2007 after a hiatus in 2002, still have a Whatsapp group where they keep in touch according to Bass.

He said: “[The conversation] is all about babies. All about the new one that they just brought in. So all conversations about a newborn.”

When asked about the name, Bass said he wasn’t going to share that detail: “It’s a good question but there’s no way. He would kill me!”

Although he did confirm the child was “cute”, saying “of course, it’s Justin and Jess’s baby”.

Timberlake, 39, and Biel, 38, started dating in 2007 and became engaged in December 2011. They married in October 2012 in Italy. They had a son, Silas, in April 2015.

Earlier this year, Timberlake confirmed that the family had gone to a house in Montana during the coronavirus lockdown as the “best way to do our part”.

In 2019 Timberlake apologised publicly to his wife after being pictured holding hands with another woman during a night out in New Orleans.

He shared a post on Instagram saying he “should have known better” and blamed drinking too much alcohol for holding hands with Alisha Wainwright who he starred alongside in the film Palmer.

“I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love,” Timberlake wrote.
