In Thing: O Pur oxygen canister

Commuters breathing from a portable oxygen canister might be a fairly normal sight in over-populated and over-polluted Tokyo. Worryingly, sightings of these pure air puffers are on the increase in London.

Now available is O Pur (geddit?). This streamline, Sapporo-esque can of bottled air is aimed at the environmentally distressed urban dweller. The content of the can is 99 per cent oxygen, and is sold as 'a source of energy for active lifestyles'. It also, supposedly, 'improves concentration' and 'decreases performance slumps'. Yeah - and when the can's empty it turns into a pizza.

O Pur pounds 9.99 a can. Call 071-493 0303 for stockists.
